Date night

Tonight Darin and I decided to try a date night. We got a babysitter (our first non-family babysitter since Rylie has been born) and were excited just to be the two of us. We didn't have much planned, just excited for us time.

Unfortunately, after the sitter came and we started to leave Daniel freaked out. So, worried that he would wake up Rylie, we decided to let him join us. Our first stop was Sonic for treats and upon seeing the drive thru menu -- Daniel yelled out I want hot dog, cheese, sandwich, fries and chicken. (this after he had eaten almost 2 servings of spagetti). Darin and I busted up laughing. We got such a kick out of Daniel's long list. I think it was because we pulled up to the drive thru and Daniel knew what it was and what to do and called out his order without prompting!



Next in our impromptu date night we decided to give our new local Wal-mart a visit since Darin hadn't seen it yet. Yes, in a small town like Maricopa, this is what we do to have fun. Darin hadn't perused the isles yet, so we just went to meander. I tell you, Walmart is one happening place.



We then returned home to cuddle on the couch (with Daniel right there too, leaking diaper and all). We started one movie and gave up after 30 minutes, put Daniel down (with him screaming for 15+ minutes afterwards), then finally got to have us time watching a movie.

Don't you just love Date Night. Yes, it was as romantic as it gets!
