Zoolights

We went to see the Zoolights last night. I've never seen the zoolights before. I was impressed, they have quite a display. They have all kinds of arrangements from lights running along the sidewalks, to monkeys in trees to whole trees that were lit up. I would definitely go again.

We of course forgot to take our camera so we lost out on a picture perfect moment of Daniel. They have a light show set up with a long line of trees that lights up with music. It looks like a line of huge trees are dancing to music.

We got there before it started and once it started you should've seen Daniels face. His eyes were huge and his mouth was hanging open in a perpetual smile the whole time. I had him up on my shoulders so he could see over everyone and Heidi said I had to look at his face and when I lifted him down to see him his expression never changed and he never looked away from the trees. He was mesmorized. Words like astonished, excited, awe and wonderment can give you an idea.

Here was my take on it MasterCard style:

45 minute drive to Phoenix - Rylie cried for half the way there;

Innumerous hosts of people at the zoo and obnoxious droves of groupy teenagers;

Tickets for $14;

Seeing wonderment through the eyes of a two year old, priceless.
