"keghy..keghy"

We found out today that Daniel doesn't like chocolate milk, which is really surprising because he adores chocolate so much. He couldn't get enough chocolate at Christmas time. Heidi thought she'd give him a special treat at church by giving him chocolate milk. This is probably one of those "you had to be there" moments but I'll try to describe it. He took one sip of the chocolate milk from his sippy cup and immediately made a face like he just sipped vinegar and his whole body even gave a shiver.

Then he looks at mom and makes this onomatopoeia sound like "keghy..keghy" which is the sound I use when associating something with garbage. I learned that from my dad. If garbage had a sound then that's what it would sound like. So when he picks up something dirty or thats garbage and I don't want him to have it I say "keghy..keghy" and say Garbage, and go throw it away.

So in so many words he was saying "Mom, this milk is garbage! keghy!" We could hardly keep from laughing out loud in church.
