So now we're trying to get him back to saying mom again. He'll say Hiieee! and Heidi will say "Mom!"
Daniel: Hiieeee
Heidi: Mom!
Daniel: Hiieee
Heidi: ok what? (having finally given up)
That reminds me of when we were first trying to get Daniel to say "mom" way back when. Heidi would point to herself and say "mom" trying to get Daniel to say it. Well he eventually associated pointing at yourself as "mom." So when mom wasn't around he would point to himself and say "mom" with a sad look on his face cause he was longing for mom.
Daniels determination is amazing. He sounds like a broken record the way he keeps on and on about something.
We went to Samuels football practice a few days ago (Samuel is our nephew), but we forgot to bring something to drink for Daniel. He rarely goes anywhere without a sippy cup and his blanket. Well after running around the park he wanted juice. We tried to explain that we had forgotten his sippy cup this time so we'd have to wait till we got home to have some juice. He would relentlessly keep telling us that he wanted juice for the next 30 minutes until practice was over. The other players water bottles were lined up on the sidelines so he kept dashing over there and kept trying to steal someone else's water.
We couldn't keep him distracted for anything. Eventually he ended up drinking most of Samuels water (thanks Samuel).
